Can't Escape The Dog Pound Nation

I love Backtrack and Bridge Nine have just released a nice little taster 7" of two tracks - one from from Backtracks new full length 'Lost In Life' and one track which I presume is exclusive to this release . They did this with Expire just before 'Pendulum Swings' dropped and personally i'm a fan of this strategy. More records from bands I like...Winner!

Backtrack - Can't Escape

This was released on two colours Translucent Blue out of 700 and Clear with Blood Red Splatter out of 300. I picked up a copy of both obviously. Interestingly the Blue version was and is pictured as a lot darker on the Bridge Nine site, mine though is really light blue and looks more like a slightly darker coke bottle clear type colour to the naked eye. Wonder if there's a couple of different versions of the blue or if they just came back lighter than expected?

Musically this is more of the same of what Backtrack have been doing really well over the last few years and with this and the up coming full length the juggernaut shows no sign of slowing down. Great stuff!

  2. Is it TOO similar to the first record? I'm torn

  3. well, i like the idea of consistency. would look cool to have a string of records with that cover theme. something recognisable for backtrack. but yeah, it looks quite similar.

  4. Hello buddies! Yeah it's similar to the Reaper design indeed.

J, did you actually got the early access to pre-orders when buying the splatter version?

  5. Hi Willem. Early access to the pre-orders of the new LP?

  6. Bridge 9 said, that when buying this 7 inch on splatter, they'd mail out a link to pre-order the LP. So that customers could get the limited version by being able to order it before it went completely public... Another one of those B9 strategies behind this record.

  8. Right no it's coming back to me now. I did get the email but I'm pretty sure that by the time I went to order the most limited version out of 300 had gone. At least I think it had, it must of cos from what I can see I ordered the blue and white split out of 700. unless I totally fucked up and ordered the wrong one haha

  9. Yeah it seems that it's a matter of hours. Also you probably entered the testpress contest by pre-ordering one of the colors. And that's yet another gimmick...

  10. Yeah Willem you are right. The out of 300 press sold out in 2 hours apparently
